Hey, I just found out about your site and petition from a posting on Cartoon Brew. I'm glad to see a petition has been started, I was thinking about starting one myself. Instead I've created a link to it from my site; www.animationstation.info, and will mention it in our next podcast.

I was born in 1963 and there for I was very fortunate to have seen all of the Max Fleischer Popeye cartoons that were made. Since I was about 5 years old I have been drawing the old tar. I recieved my first Popeye doll when I was 4 years old given to me by my Grandmother. He has been my hero all of my life and it is a blessing to find someone as wonderful as you who has been able to capture the hearts of people like my self with your extraordinary page. It is sad that the children of today have not had the oportunity of seeing but a few of these treasures. But maybe with people like you and your brother continuing to praise Popeye and his creative artists some day they may get the chance. Thank you for providing this outlet.
Sencerly, Stephen L. Potts

Just signed your patition...
I thiMk it's time to tell 'em all.. "It's All He Can Standz, 'cause he can't Stands No More!!!"
Wish we could find a way for all us fanz to give
'em the Woopin' they diserve.
How dare they hold such a GREAT TOON and all his
fanz Hostage ... over something as pathetic as
MONEY!! Perhaps they never grew up and don't
know how to share??!? .. .. but that would be
a "Neverland" Syndrome wouldn't it .... Let's not get Dinsey in this mess. He never paid Snow White but at least we have all HIS TOONS!!
Killer site, wish I'd have found it some time ago.
I was searching to see if THIS item is lagit.
http://www.thevintagetheatre.com/popeye.html
I don't think so. They should be reported and it's
gotta be a real Low Grade Collection anyway.
Hope we win this argument while we're still alive.

I was just looking up some information on my great great uncle, Max Fleischer. Jean Fleischer is my great uncle and he was so funny and talented as well, always joking around and making me laugh. He was married to my Aunt Ruthie for many years before he passed away a few years ago. Uncle Jean Fleischer was the best and I miss him very much. He used to tell me all about his father and Popeye and Betty Boop. I met Max Fleischer when I was very little but I do remember him. I miss them all and I know that they are in a happy place. xo

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.
Guess my Great Uncle was a pretty good animator.

When I first saw the popeye series I just wanted to know about the Fleischer brothers & when I found out the history I just wanted to continue the famous "silent" career of the Fleischer brothers. & one day I will. This website helped me learn of the Fleischer brothers & I will continue their legacy & because I am a far descendant of Max & Dave Fleischer my hand drawings will get me there.
