Comment: Enjoyed this site. My father (Seymour Kneitel) drew some of these images. Brought back good memories to me.

Comment: I love the b/w Popeye shorts...great news about their possible release. I'm sick of watching colorized versions on boomerang ( sorta makes the idea behind naming their "network" Boomerang seem moot), and if you are a fan of Fleischer, ya gotta see HOPPITY GOES TO TOWN.

Comment: I grew up with these cartoons. I wish I could find the one where Popeye helps Olive move with the help of his shipmate. One scene was about a washing machine that people kept falling into. Great stuff.

Comment: I would pay a lot of money to get a series of DVDs of the great old Popeye cartoons I saw as a child.....these were the greatest...along with many other fantastic cartoons created in the 1930s, such as Out of the Inkwell, and many more. The current crop of TV cartoons are garbage...I simply cannot watch them....especially seeing Popeye de vitalized and turned into a shallow nothing in the "new" bland, insipid versions.
