Thank you so much for the website, the images and especially the cartoons. It's wonderful to see these again after so many years, and to appreciate the humor and creativity involved with producing these wonderful shorts. I was laughing...and crying.

Great stuff. Is there any way to get the written words to Popeye's song as it was in the original "Popeye the Sailor" Betty Boop cartoon? There've always been a few words I couldn't make out. Thanks again for your excellent site....Mike Rogers, Indiana

Here's hoping that Warner Bros. sees fit to release the original black and white Fleischer Popeye shorts to dvd sometime! Those are the only Popeye shorts I'm interested in collecting!
(Well, and maybe a few of the earliest Famous shorts too.)

Great Site:
I have emailed the publicity dept. at hearst.com twice trying to find out if they are holding up the official B+W Popeye cartoons on DVD.
After three (3) months I haven't even received a receipt acknowledgement.

Does anyone at calmapro.com/popeye have any idea if and when we can expect these gems to be published???

Hi,

Nice website you've got here, it has really, really good infomation/facts. I also really like your design, the grey goes really well because the framegrabs are from the original (good; classic) episodes of 'Popeye', as you can probally see i am a massive fan of 'The Simpsons', and i almost like 'Popeye' just as much, all because of this great site. Good work, keep it up!
